Got home yesterday and husband said he took a great (actually he used the word cute) picture of the fuzzy kids. Just had to share it.
Pretty sure I have mentioned this before, but they are both rescue dogs. Not rescues from shelters, but rescues from a life that was not treating them well. They were both free to good homes. They both also came with a number of their own health issues.
Cassie, the older one on the right, was the dog my family adopted when I was in high school, or just starting high school. We looked in the paper until we found what we wanted and then went to go see if we wanted to bring her home. The people that had her and her brother kept the puppies outside in a mud pin, caged with chicken wire. We couldn't leave her, so we took her. She had worms and ear mites.
Baden was left in the woods and friends of our found him, his two brothers and a sister, and their mother on the side of the less traveled road. Baden came to us with mange, the treatable kind. Both have their own character flaws, but I have yet to meet anyone, human or animal who doesn't. SO, those are my fuzzy kids, both happy and healthy now.
