November 1st

Wow, here we are again.

Let me give you some back ground information as to why, I have no character sketch and just two characters in mind and no plot at all planned for NaNo this year.

A few months ago my mom, aunt, and i decided we needed a girl weekend. We would all get together at mom's house in Roanoke, get a reading done, and drink lots of wine and eat wonderful food and just have girl time. It was palnned for this weekend.

I left work this past Friday with my NaNo book in hand and notebook, planning on making character outlines and maybe define a plot. Or at least a way to have the two characters meet. But instead, my aunt and I arrived about 10 minutes apart. We played with Hailie, ate dinner, and when Hailie went to bed, brought out a bottle of wine. And we talked. We laughed, we cried, we told stories, we asked questions about the reading we were expecting the next day. Two bottles later at 3 am mom said, we need to go to bed. And then she brought out another bottle of wine. Well, at 4 I made a break for a glass of water and my aunt helped me make up my sofa bed.

The next morning we played with Hailie (she kept asking where Jeff was and where Baden was). I would explain to Hailie that Jeff was with Baden in Raleigh. Then she would ask where Baden was. And I would say he is with Jeff in Raleigh. She just didn't understand.

After the readings we went to the wine store to get more wine. My best friend Megan came over and also my sis-in-law (who found out she got an awesome job!- so we drank to that) came over. Four hours later, we ate dinner, talked a little bit more and then went to bed.

Sunday we went to church, ate lunch, said very long good byes, fixed my broken bracelet and the magnet that i broke that was on the refrigerator, saw a friend I hadn't in over a year, and then stopped by the in-laws to get my sis-in-law to print off a picture for me. I finally got home around 6 or 6:30 and feel asleep on the sofa, after we went out to dinner.

So this morning i called out of work. I new I would start off the month sick as i have run around the past two weekends and run on hardly any sleep the past two weeks.

So, sore throat or not, I should probably get started on the word count.
