Day 9

Oye, the dreaded second week....

I am glad that I was able to get a bit of a cushion on words this weekend. I am just not feeling it today. I did give the novel some love, but in fear of doing something i can't take back from my characters, I decided to just give a little bit to the word count and try to regroup tonight.

I am still not behind, which is good. I think i did that last year, and hope that isn't the case for this week. I hope if i can just get through this week, get some research done this weekend I'll be able to add lots to the word count next week. Or this weekend.

Anyway,here is to a better writing tomorrow.

Oh, on the way to my office, i have to drive through a shopping mall and then down a road to get to my building. There is a bit of open space around this road that has the kind of fake plastic bag fences set up around the sides the of the road and the grass is really over grown.

This morning, a male deer, pretty good sized one at that, ran across the field and across the road as I was driving. He was a good ways away and I saw him long before he reached the road (thank goodness). I just slowed my car down and watched him. He was alone, I was checking as I figured so was the girl in the car behind me as she slowed down too. I then watched him run until he was out of site.
