So, it's been a rough start this year. I had decided not to do Nano this year, but was talked into it. I don't want to say it's losing its fun, but in a way it is. First of all, Jeff is doing it with me this year, which makes it so much more fun. But, the Nano creators are no longer sending the encouraging emails unless you make a donation. I have donated every year, but this just makes me sad.
Anyway, I had an idea that hit me either coming home from my weekend in Roanoke or on the way there, I can't remember. I have been wanting to write something with these characters, but wasn't sure what to do with them. The MC has issues, but that makes it more fun to write.
I heard a quote today that fits kinda what I have been going through "I see all the bricks, but I can't see the house."
Yesterday I didn't even touch the novel. It happens every year, but I try not to miss a day in the first week. After the first week it kinda goes down hill. Week two is where i get stuck. Right now I have three different chapter ones. Yup, it was a bit of a rough start. But as I was complaining to co-workers about not liking the novel, an idea hit my in face (not physically, thank goodness. I believe good ideas, or ones you have been waiting for may hit with a great amount of force!)
I will try to be better about updating.
